Mike,

You can do it in plesk or the command line. Plesk would probably be more convenient.

Cliff,

Yeah, just noticed some of these too. A quick DB query shows over 117 affected posts and sigs. I think another DB query should fix this, but I want to run a lengthy backup first Wink

Barry,

I fixed up the documentation the Software page of the Wiki at:

http://www.openservo.com/moin.cgi/Software
http://www.openservo.com/moin.cgi/WinCVSNotes

to use the case you indicated earlier. Let me know if anything doesn't look right.

The timezone for the server has been set to GMT. It now reports:

# date
Thu Mar 29 18:04:36 GMT 2007

at the time of this posting.

Does GMT sound like the best timezone for everyone given that we have people from all over the world?

Mike, GMT sounds good. Anything else could get confusing.

Code:

UPDATE phpbb_posts_text SET post_text = replace(post_text,"\\"","\"");
Affected rows: 117 (Query took 0.0060 sec)

I cant see any bad things that happened with this, so I am guessing it is fixed. A quick verification look good. Only one problem I see are user sigs. There were 0 affected rows when I ran the script. As this only affects a few people can I request you all check your sigs.

I am not so sure how to fix the posts by user error. I will look deeper into that issue.

I have this fixed up too. It turns out I missed a field when I did the db upgrade.

As you may have already noticed, we have changed the email address of the topic reply notification to no-reply@openservo.com from the @sneakemail address.

Please update any email rules you have in place to deal with this change.

Thanks.

Barry,

I don't know if you have noticed, but it seem that Latex is not playing nice here.

Thanks Cliff. I think that Barry and I had forgotten that Latex was installed on the old site and that page didn't survive the translation. I'll need to look into this.

Hi Mike/Cliff/All

I am having a little trouble with LaTeX. It is installed, and so are the support packages. The LaTeX docs are a little sketchy, and I am way out of my depth on this one. Any ideas people?

I would be out of my depth with Latex as well. This was installed as a request from Stefan and somehow Andy got it working within the Windows NT environment on the old site. I'll look through my old emails to see if they exchanged instructions on the installation.

Mike,

These seem to be the instructions for the MoinMoin installation.

http://wiki.vislab.usyd.edu.au/moin.cgi/moinmoin-LaTeX

It looks like we have to jump through some hoops because the dvipng package is not in the repository. Time to find a RPM

I will see what I can do to get this working, but I stand by my point of not having a clue Wink

Terrific. Thanks. I wasn't finding anything in my past email that would have helped.

The latter methinks. I also did a test post for my own sanity.
