|

Hi everyone. I just wanted to ask if anyone has completed firmware with support for quadrature encoders? This would probably make the most sense used in conjunction with a new hardware design, perhaps based around a common H-bridge device such as the LMD18200, so control over big gearhead motors would be possible.
Looking at boards such as the Gamoto or Motion Mind 2, it should be possible to surpass them in terms of features, cost, and size once encoder support is there. I could do both the hardware and software side of things, but if someone has completed the software already, so much the simpler. |

Hi,
I am also very interested in the optical quadrature encoder version of OpenServo. Past forum postings indicated that this support was close to being ready, especially for OpenServo v3 hardware. Is there mounting pads for encoder channels on the new PCBs?
If this has already been discussed, could someone point me to the appropriate form. I am a newbie. THANKS!!!
Bill
PS: Sorry I came across this so late. Truly grand idea. I can't wait to begin using OpenServo and OpenStepper. |

it has been so long and no body answer your question, so I assume that no one was able to complete firmware with support for quadrature encoders.. _________________ Cigars |
