Hi,

Great project! As a few people have said, I was going my make my own version (admittedly I was going to use RS485) but this certainly negates the need to.

As I have been evaluating the UltraServo (OpenServo) for a while now I though I would drop a little note about myself before I contribute my alterations.

I picked up on the Openservo a little time ago, and started to integrate the designs into a prototype robot controller system.

I am in my late 20's, and live in the UK. I have a computer science degree and degree in Mechanical Engineering.

I am currently working in the field of robotics, my job role is to develop emergent systems for robotic control in Linux.

I specialise in real time embedded systems, mainly Linux *NIX based, and also digital electronics hardware design.

I have access to resources on motor control and design though my colleagues.

Cheers

Barry
